This one week spring school will provide several four hour lectures by leading experts supplemented by a few shorter seminars. The year 2011 school will have a special focus on topological insulators and bring together lecturers and students from this field. The speakers will give graduate level presentations introducing to state-of-the-art methods and techniques to prepare and describe topological states of matter in two- and three-dimensional materials. While the school is primarily aimed at instructing PhD students and young postdocs, more senior scientists who want to acquaint themselves with the subject of the school are also welcome.

The number of participants will be limited to 35 students. To participate, please fill out the application form on this webpage before December 15, 2010.

Participants will be staying in hotels within walking distance from the conference site (Villa Orlandi). Standard accomodation is in double rooms but single rooms are available at a surcharge.
